Put Your Auto In The Garage At Night

Filed under: General — admin @ 4:15 pm

Want to save some cash on your auto quote, then ensure to tell your insurance company that your auto is well and truly protected at night time. Of course a garage needs to be more that a roof and 2 walls, there needs to be security so if your automobile is ever stolen from the garage the insurance company does not find reason to declare your claim void and null.  The garage door should be sealed around its edges with a good locking system, joining the door to all its edges, ideally the floor also.

All other doors (if any) should be of strong structure, often composite doors are recommended by insurance companies because of their inherent strength and benefits not found on other door types. It is easy to fit these, with plenty of companies prepared to do this. Finally you could consider an alarm system, before you inform your insurance company of the features you have added to your garage. But be careful, if you receive a discount based on eth fact you auto is stored in the garage each night, do not get lazy and leave the auto outside for a null insurance claim.

Insurance and Salvage

Filed under: General — admin @ 7:27 pm

If you are wondering what ever happens to your auto after an insurance payout then read further. In short, insurance organizations need to reclaim as much cash from any claim they can, so the process normally is to sell these vehicles off in Salvage auctions over the USA. There are differnt graages of salvage with only around 20% available to the general public, most is only available to the trade, where relevant licenses depnding on the USA State of the auction is required.

The largest salvage auction house in the USA is Copart, with yards acrosss America. To buy you need to be a member. There is a level of salvage that can only be sold to buyers outside the USA. These autos have ot picked form the yard and taken directly to the docks ready for export.

These export salvage vehicles can be a rich source of parts for breakeryards throughout the world as salvage in the USA can be much cheaper than other places around the world.

Bring Home Insurance Together With Car Insurance

Filed under: General — admin @ 5:45 pm

In the highly competitive world of insurance many organisations try to woo car insurance buyers by offering cheaper insurance if they have a home policy and vice versa, in better words in many cases if you buy both together from the same provider you should get some discounts. But before you sign on the dotted line or press that accept quote button on your PC, you should think of the consequences. What we mean by this is this. An insurance company who offers the exact auto insurance you need, may not offer the right home insurance, making teh discount false economy.

Take securoty for intsance. Many home insurance policies insist you have certain locks installed on certain doors around the home and some even insit of how the doors on your home are made to get the best discount. It looks like a secure strong door is becomming the security feauture of many homes now, so don’t be surprised if there are stipulations on locks and doors within your policy. This is not such an issue when comapsring home insurance normally, but when you are trying to match car and home together, there could be differences that don’t match your real requirements.

So if you are offered cheap home insurance when you take out your cars policy, ask for these providers to send the small print of the policy so you can check out any requirements for locks, doors and any other entry point of your home.

In case you haven’t had a breakdown anytime doesn’t mean that it doesn’t happen, and it also means that you are unaware that there are risks involved in such situations. Mostly there are untrained individuals who come to your rescue and sometimes it may take hours together. In situations where you have your family with you it can be really unnerving and unsafe. Then you don’t really know who has come to help. Putting all these anxiety to rest are the breakdown service providers who have a network on all the major metros and cities across India. You can identify the personnel easily; they reach within minutes, and are adequately trained in all types of vehicles. This facility is available round the clock and covers all aspects of a breakdown.

So Will Insurance Premiums Rise

Filed under: General — admin @ 4:26 pm

So the news recently is thatthe car we own is now worth more. Yes even though our cars have just stood on the drive or have been driven around like mad they have increased in value. For the first time ever used values have risen over the last year raising teh question, does that mean our insurance premiums will increase in value, if our car is worth more?

It si possible that car insurance policies taken out last year no longer protect you to replace the car you now drive. The truth is that it would take larger increases of values to make a real difference in premiums. Yes you car has increased in value but there are only some exclusive models such as large Range Rovers, that values have increased to the point they need to revisit their insurance policies.

Insurance companies should also receive more back from their salvage vehciles, the ones they auction of after they have paid out on a policy. hopefully this should balance out any value discrepiencies, not to mention that the value of your car is taken on face value anyway, until payout, so you have probably insured your car for more that the insurance company would have thought it was worth anyway.

Their is often a belief that by stating the highest value for your car, that is how mcuh you will get back as an insurance claim. the answer is that in mosts cases insurance companies only pay out trade values, what you would have got as a part exchange not the private resale value. So will car insurance premiums go up? They may do but not for this reason so I doubt it!!

The Spanish equivalent To RAC is RACE

Filed under: General — admin @ 4:58 pm

There are many car breakdown cover organisation around the world and so it is no surprise that many tend to keep similar names. You have Triple A or AAA in United States or the AA in the UK and there is a RAC breakdown cover in Australia too.

But in Spain on e of the organisations is called RACE or Real Automovil Club de Espania to give its full name. With breakdown cover services, route finders and other services it is pretty much like the UK equivalent.
In fact if you look closely you will see connections with the FIA (motor racing) and the Madrid games, so this is no small company.

The name is quiet appropriate too, as in the UK the time it takes to a breakdown is one of the major factors of purchase, so i suppose the car breakdown cover process it is a bit like being in a race.

Autio Insurance By Muffin

Filed under: General — admin @ 11:21 am

Drive safely is one of the obvious pieces of advice from the Muffin auto insurance ad. AS she takes her little dog to the part (we think) we are informed of several ways to keep our insurance premiums down, but in some cases our covered is reduced.  There is nothing here that will make you sit up excited and raring to go, but it also true that many do not plan for their next auto insurance renewal and just pay out what is asked. Taking the time to review your needs are especially important and remember, reducing premiums is great, but not if you don’t have sufficient cover should an accident or insurance claim occur. ( I wonder if Muffin is the dog?)

Uninsured Driver Insurance

Filed under: General — admin @ 2:01 pm

One of the biggest worries about being involved in an accident apart from is everyone OK, is the possibility that the other driver is uninsured.  We all know the lengths we have to go to, to get an insurance pay out anyway, that matches the value of our vehicle and the costs involved without any transport to and from work etc.
Imaging how hard it is, if the driver is not insured and there are no premiums associated with the payout.  This can be even more distressing for non motorists that maybe involved in a RTA with an uninsured driver. This can be a hit and run situation, or even when the person involved does not run, can they afford to pay out the compensation.
One way around this is to get extra cover, to cover you for accidents that occur from those who can’t be bothered to get Auto Insurance, but are happy to drive a lethal vehicle around good honest people. This video is not meant to be just an advert, but it is to describe the effects to a family or similar, from uninsured drivers.

How important is an insurance cover for my vehicle?

Filed under: General — Tags: — sunil @ 2:41 pm

“Auto Insurance” can be defined as insurance for the automobile, which, could be used for private or public transport. With almost a quarter increase in the car population between 1990 and 2008, [study printed in the Transport trends edition 2007 by Department of Transport UK], the causalities have also increased. There were a total of 247,780 casualties of all severities reported in the year 2007. Of this number around 2,946 people were killed and 27,774 people were seriously injured. Hence it becomes essential, that we look for security to our lives and also to one of our most prized possession.

Some of us are aware, whilst, others ponder over the importance of insurance of their vehicle. Hence let us turn our attention to this basic question:

How important is an insurance cover for my vehicle?

The answer is - “very important”. UK laws laid down in the year 1930 and then later defined by Road Traffic Act 1988 (modified on 1991) stipulate that every motorist should have a insurance/ security or a deposit of 500,000 pound sterling with the accountant General of Supreme Court, to make good any loss of life and property that might occur due to use of their vehicle. Further, you would be committing an offense under the section 143(1) (a) RTA 1988 (amended in 1991) if you drive on the public highway without at least third party insurance. Thus making auto insurance a must have rather than should have.

The next very important question is what all is covered in an insurance policy?

Fundamentally, the safety net through insurance, on your automobile has the following covered:
a)    Property coverage : Damage to or theft to your car
b)    Liability Coverage : Damage, your vehicle causes to another vehicle or person,
c)    Medical coverage  : Injuries sustained, loss of work days and rehabilitation

Usually, the law of the land stipulates, that you should have the minimum insurance to cover the liability that arises when you hit another person or his car. However insurance goes beyond this basic need and through a variety of offerings which ensure that the financial loss to your vehicle from fire, accident and theft is zilch.

Thus armed with such financial safety instruments and your safety belt, you can surely drive your loved possession, with a smile and of course a valid driving license!
